Maxsys Electronics has introduced a low-cost CCTV solution that will enable construction firms to reduce shrinkage and improve adherence to health and safety regulations. It will enable the industry to enhance on-site security and deliver significant savings compared with using guarding services out of hours. This new overt CCTV solution from Maxsys uses wire-free cameras, mounted on eight metre columns, in conjunction with static cameras that protect the site office and main compound.

A digital video recorder (DVR) is located in the site office to capture images locally.

The cost for this is just £6-700 per week on a lease rental with a minimum term of 12 months.

Also included in this fixed cost is installation, training and ongoing maintenance as well as remote central monitoring.

Cameras are triggered by built-in PIRs and automatically pan, tilt and zoom in to where movements are detected.

High quality images are recorded on local DVR as well as being transmitted, via ADSL connections, to a central monitoring location where operators can take control of the cameras to follow the action whilst alerting the local police or guarding company to attend the scene and secure the site.

Operators can take full control of on-site cameras to follow the action and can give verbal warnings over the system to warn off intruders.

Full incident recordings are also made in the control centre to ensure that all evidence is captured to aid prosecutions and detailed reports of every incident are subsequently sent to the client.

The cameras are powered by a combination of wind and solar power to provide continuous, no cost operation.

This also enables cameras to be quickly and easily positioned anywhere on site without requiring cabling or specialist installation expertise.
